ACLU SAN DIEGO COUNTY INTERIM DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Speak out for fairness and transparency in San Diego County and demand that the County Board of Supervisors appoint an interim district attorney who pledges not to run in 2018. Three candidates applied to serve as interim DA and only two of the candidates have pledged not to run for DA in the June 2018 primary election. Our work is cut out for us.

We need you to do two things! The first is to save the date for the County Board of Supervisor’s public hearing on the matter, taking place on Tuesday, June 20th at 9AM. Register to attend at this link.

In San Diego County, residents have a right to democratically elect our district attorney, the most powerful local law enforcement official in our criminal justice system.
Our current DA, Bonnie Dumanis, has announced her early retirement (effective July 2017).
Before Dumanis resigns, it is imperative that the Board of Supervisors select her replacement fairly and transparently. As of this week, only two of the three applicants for the interim DA position have pledged not to run in 2018.
