September Meeting Recap

We had a great meeting in September with updates from the office of Congressman Scott Peters (District 52), Reilly Hurley provided an update on the campaign for Omar Passons for County Supervisor District 4 & Matt Brower, candidate for San Diego Superior Court.

We had an amazing panel of women community leaders discuss how we as citizens can get involved in our local government. There were lots of great questions and discussion from our members.

Barbara Bry, San Diego City Council Member District 1; Lesa Heebner, Former Mayor & Council Member of Solana Beach; Lee Haydu, Former Mayor & City Council Member of Del Mar & Board of Director of 22nd Agricultural District; Vicki King, Solana Beach School District Board of Governors.

     

     

October Club Meeting

Join us for fireside chats with several candidates for political office.

This month, Geneviéve Jones-Wright, candidate for San Diego District Attorney will introduce herself to our club and answer our questions. 

Candidates for US Congress District 49, Doug Applegate & Paul Kerr are joining us as well. This will be an opportunity to meet & ask questions of both candidates in an intimate setting. 

     

 

Jessica Hays, Chair of the San Diego County Democratic Party will also be providing an update.

November Club Meeting

We will have Carl Yaeckel from the Citizen Commission on Climate & Mike Levin, Candidate for US Congress District 49. 

TAKE ACTION
OCTOBER 12TH: The Solana Beach School District will be holding their meeting to propose a resolution for Congress to support DACA students and ensure their safety. Please join the school board meeting at 6:30 pm to provide support for the resolution. It’s critical for our community to offer support of this resolution.

Adoption of Resolution 100117 Solana Beach School District Calls Upon Congress to Continue the Existing DACA Program and Provide DACA Recipients with a Pathway to Permanent Residence and Eventually US Citizenship.
